Row cost equals headcount times average total monthly comp. Total monthly comp is the sum of all rows. Annual is monthly times 12. Comp-to-gross percent is total monthly comp divided by total monthly gross profit, times 100. Department subtotals sum every row grouped by department. The healthy and warning thresholds are rules of thumb you can adjust, not fixed rules.
